On May 9, 2025, Pingshan County in Yibin City, Sichuan Province, hosted a momentous science and technology event—the successful "Pingshan Science and Technology Leaders' Assistance Program." This initiative aimed to thoroughly implement the Ministry of Science and Technology's targeted assistance plan, effectively elevating the county's science and technology support efforts to new heights.

Gao Cunyu, Chairman of SHANGHAI OUMIAO ELECTRIC & INSPECTION CO., LTD., stands out as a prominent figure among tech entrepreneurs and traveled thousands of miles to Pingshan, eagerly joining the initiative aimed at boosting rural revitalization and advancing technological development.

On the day of the event, the atmosphere at the scene was both enthusiastic and solemn. Nearly 30 technology leaders and entrepreneurs from various fields across the country gathered together to brainstorm ideas and contribute their expertise toward the development of Pingshan. Chairman Gao Cunyu, along with other attendees, jointly witnessed a series of charitable donation activities. Leading science and technology talents and entrepreneur representatives generously donated 1.624 million yuan in special support funds, along with 155 pieces of science education materials valued at 1.4 million yuan, to Pingshan County, providing a powerful boost to the region's science education initiatives. Meanwhile, they also presented a special scholarship of 100,000 yuan and pesticide worth 150,000 yuan to Ganju Village, which is specifically supported by the Ministry of Science and Technology, helping to drive rural industry development and foster local talent.

Among the numerous agenda items, the ceremony in which 22 leading technology talents and tech entrepreneurs were appointed as the first batch of science and technology vice principals for primary and secondary schools in Pingshan County particularly drew attention—Chairman Gao Cunyu was one of them. In the future, they will work closely with schools across Pingshan County, providing ongoing guidance and abundant resources to support science education initiatives. Chairman Gao Cunyu stated: "Science education must start with children. Being able to serve as a science and technology vice principal for Pingshan's primary and secondary schools fills me with both a profound sense of responsibility and a glorious mission. I hope that through my efforts, I can share cutting-edge technological ideas and knowledge with the students, sparking their curiosity and passion for science, and helping them unlock the door to the fascinating world of technology."

During the event, Chairman Gao Cunyu and Deputy Director Xu Hui, along with their delegation, also conducted on-site research at Jinjiang Middle School and Pingshan Chaoqing Garden. At Jinjiang Middle School, Gao Cunyu gained a detailed understanding of the school's science education initiatives and students' learning needs. He expressed his commitment to subsequently introducing more high-quality science and technology educational resources tailored specifically for the school, such as online science courses and advanced experimental equipment. Meanwhile, at Pingshan Chaoqing Garden, Gao Cunyu showed keen interest in the development of the local specialty industry. Leveraging his extensive experience in corporate management and industrial growth, he engaged in discussions with relevant officials about leveraging technology to enhance the efficiency and quality of tea cultivation and processing, ultimately helping Pingshan's Chaoqing industry achieve transformation and upgrading.

Zhao Dan, Secretary of the Ping'an County Party Committee, highly praised this event, noting that Ping'an, as a key county receiving national support for rural revitalization, has consistently prioritized scientific innovation and talent cultivation as vital drivers of development—paving a unique path of science-and-education-driven innovation tailored to Ping'an's distinct characteristics. This "Ping'an Science and Technology Leaders' Assistance Program" is a vivid demonstration of various sectors stepping up to fulfill their social responsibilities and actively supporting the integrated growth of education, technology, and talent, ultimately injecting fresh momentum into Ping'an's development.
