The inaugural "OUMIAO Cup" Fun Sports Meet Successfully Held

To strengthen the sense of teamwork within the OUMIAO family, enrich everyone’s leisure activities, and actively respond to the call for nationwide fitness, the first "OUMIAO Cup" Fun Sports Meet was successfully held on the afternoon of June 1, 2018, under clear skies with gentle breezes, blue skies, and fluffy white clouds, at the Xujing Town Cultural and Sports Activity Center in Qingpu District.

This year's fun sports event was designed to both showcase the competitive spirit of sportsmanship and ensure engaging, company-wide participation. To achieve this, eight exciting and entertaining competitive events were organized, including table-tennis ball relay, leg-bonding jump, dart throwing, rope skipping, relay races, balloon-stomping, rhythmic gymnastics, and tug-of-war. All company members broke free from departmental boundaries and formed four balanced teams—each with an equal mix of men and women—to compete in these thrilling activities.

The sports meet kicked off with the referee's starting whistle, as teams from each division sent their best athletes to compete in the ping-pong ball relay race. To minimize the number of times the ping-pong ball rolled or fell, the competitors twisted and contorted their bodies, carefully adjusting their stances—while simultaneously sprinting with all their might toward the finish line. On both sides of the track, teammates cheered loudly, pumping up the athletes on the field—and couldn’t help bursting into laughter at the athletes' comical, exaggerated movements.

The leg-tying jump event tests the coordination and teamwork between partners. Athletes are paired up, with each athlete's left and right feet tied together, experiencing the spirit of collaborative advancement and retreat as a unified team.

In the dart-throwing segment, each team selected 6 players, and a total of 24 contestants participated in this event, making it the competition with the highest number of individual participants.

The rope-skipping competition saw everyone eagerly participating, with Zheng Guozhong setting a remarkable personal record by jumping 170 times in just one minute.

In the balloon-busting challenge, contestants are tasked with popping their opponents' balloons by stepping on them within a designated area—no stepping outside the boundaries. The winner is whoever has the most balloons remaining at the end. Participants eagerly unleash their best strategies, balancing both offense and defense throughout the intense competition.

The 50-meter round-robin relay race saw each team select four elite sprinters, delivering a thrilling contest of speed and teamwork. Each athlete gave it their all, charging relentlessly toward the finish line.

Broadcast gymnastics, with participation from everyone, embodies the unified team spirit of the OUMIAO family.

At the end, the tug-of-war competition truly brought the sports event's competitive highlights to a thrilling climax. Participants formed teams according to their groups, pulling together as one mighty force, while competitors gave it their all, cheering and rallying their teammates on the sidelines!

After fierce competition across 8 events, rankings were determined based on the points earned in each event. The third group secured first place as a team, while the other groups also received awards of varying levels.

After the sports event concluded, everyone felt thoroughly refreshed and energized—despite sweating profusely under the clear blue sky. Yet, it was a unique "June 1st" celebration that reignited their inner childlike wonder. More importantly, by hosting this sports event, we not only showcased the spirit of dedication and determination in competition but also hope that everyone will carry this same mindset into their work, fostering a united and ambitious OUMIAO team.
