Fujian-Guangdong Interconnection Project
The Min-Yue Interconnection Project features a total line length of 303 kilometers and an investment of 3.2 billion yuan, with a transmission capacity of 2 million kilowatts. It is a key project under the nation’s “14th Five-Year” Power Development Plan, as well as the first interconnection line between Fujian and Guangdong provinces. Within Fujian Province, the project includes the construction of one new DC back-to-back converter station. This station will connect to Guangdong’s Jiaying and Fujian’s Donglin 500-kV substations via two separate 500-kV AC transmission lines.

The Min-Yue Interconnection Converter Station is a digital twin converter station. While the physical construction is underway, a fully digital twin is being built simultaneously, enabling panoramic visualization of the station’s information, supporting advanced application development, and laying a solid foundation for high-quality construction and flexible operation.
Shanghai OUMIAO Electric provides comprehensive online monitoring services for the 550kV substations at the Min-Guang Interconnection Converter Stations—specifically, the Guangdong-side and Fujian-side stations. This project exclusively utilizes Shanghai OUMIAO Electric's SF6 Micro-Water Density Online Monitoring System across the entire substation, enabling automatic collection and measurement of critical parameters such as SF6 gas pressure, density, micro-water content, dew point, and temperature within primary equipment. The system also facilitates real-time data upload. Through advanced background data analysis and trend evaluation, operators can accurately assess equipment performance, identify potential leakage issues early on, and ensure the safe and reliable operation of switching devices—ultimately supporting the smooth delivery of power under the Min-Guang Interconnection Project!
In addition, the SF6 gas recovery unit, portable partial discharge tester, SF6 comprehensive analyzer, insulation resistance tester, SF6 leak imaging device, density relay calibrator, and loop resistance tester—all essential equipment for the Min-Yue Interconnection Project—were all supplied by OUMIAO Electric Power. Shanghai OUMIAO is providing multi-faceted, all-around support to ensure the safe and successful commissioning of the Min-Yue Interconnection Project!
