China-Venezuela Jieyang Petrochemical Project

The China-Venezuela Guangdong Petrochemical Integration Project has a total investment of 85.6 billion yuan. Located in the Dashanhai Petrochemical Industrial Zone in Jieyang City, Guangdong Province, the project spans 953 hectares. It is designed as a 20-million-ton-per-year refining facility, complemented by a 2.6-million-ton-per-year aromatics plant and a 1.2-million-ton-per-year ethylene integration unit. Additionally, the project includes the construction of a 300,000-ton crude oil terminal, a 100,000-ton product terminal, long-distance pipelines, a crude oil transit storage facility, railway infrastructure, and wastewater treatment systems. The entire plant will feature three substations: one 220kV/110kV substation serving the Jieyang Petrochemical Complex, one 110kV power center substation, and one 110kV substation at the crude oil terminal.

Among them, the 220kV/110kV section of the main substation features over 110 GIS switchgear bays! Shanghai OUMIAO and Siemens have jointly provided comprehensive online monitoring systems tailored for GIS equipment, including partial discharge monitoring, SF6 micro-water density monitoring, and surge arrester insulation monitoring—covering all operational needs with an extensive number of monitoring points. Additionally, at the 110kV substation in the Power Center, Shanghai OUMIAO and Siemens have installed similar advanced monitoring systems for partial discharge, SF6 micro-water density, surge arrester insulation, and SF6 leakage detection. Similarly, the 110kV substation at the crude oil terminal is equipped with the same suite of cutting-edge monitoring technologies from Shanghai OUMIAO and Siemens. These newly commissioned substations are fully outfitted with state-of-the-art online monitoring devices, enabling them to achieve holistic, multi-dimensional real-time perception and surveillance of primary equipment conditions. As a result, intelligent monitoring of the entire substation infrastructure has been seamlessly realized.
