Product Overview
The OM.R902 Transformer Core/Clamp Grounding Current On-Line Monitoring System continuously tracks the ground leakage current of transformer cores and clamps. Utilizing an industrial fieldbus, it enables fully digital communication across the entire substation, while on-site monitoring IEDs facilitate data exchange with remote monitoring platforms. This system allows real-time assessment of the transformer's insulation condition, providing insights into the rate of insulation degradation in the core and clamps—and thereby addressing the limitations of traditional insulation resistance measurements for these components. Ultimately, it supports real-time online analysis and diagnostics of transformer equipment operation, offering critical data to guide timely maintenance and repairs.
System Architecture
The transformer core/clip monitoring unit is deployed directly on the transformer equipment itself and connected via communication cables to the core/clip monitoring IED module. This IED module enables real-time data acquisition and processing, consolidating information reflecting the operational status of the transformer into standardized data messages compliant with the DL/T860 protocol, which are then uploaded to the higher-level data server. Meanwhile, the expert diagnostic system for the transformer core/clip receives the data transmitted by the IED, analyzes the equipment's operating condition, assesses its health status, diagnoses any potential faults, and ultimately develops targeted maintenance strategies.
